Nico Rosberg will want to put the lottery on tonight after he cruised his way to an easy Chinese Grand Prix victory.
Although Nico found himself unchallenged, the race itself was one filled with some phenomenal battles from all positions on the track. A chaotic first lap saw Daniel Ricciardo leap into the lead of the race, Kvyat and the two Ferrari teammates collide and Felipe Nasr hit Lewis Hamilton (who had started from last). Ricciardo’s lead was short-lived however, after his supersofts exploded on lap , allowing Rosberg to get by with ease. An early safety car to get rid of some of the debris on track brought Raikkonen and Hamilton back into play and from there the Shanghai International Circuit was host to some masterful driving, it’s clear to see why Formula 1 is regarded the home to the greatest drivers in the world. Vettel fought back to finish 2nd (albeit 38 seconds behind 1st) with Kvyat rounding out the Podium, his Red Bull teammate Ricciardo finally finishing 4th. Unbelievably, Lewis Hamilton ended up taking a total of 5 pit stops on his way to 7th place. Rosberg now moves 36 points clear of Hamilton in the championship, and has won every race so far this season.
